Kinetic Sand is a great stress reliever for adults to children, and it never drys out. If you have played with this sand before, you know it’s super soft and is so satisfying to mold it to anything. The kinetic sand comes in a variety of colors, some of the colors are, blue, purple, green and brown color. You can get other colors, but it might not be from the kinetic company.

What is Molding Sand?

A mesmerizing material called “kinetic sand,” which can be molded like clay but also somehow feels silky, is enjoyable for kids and adults alike. Kinetic sand is regular sand that’s been coated with silicone oil. Silicone oils have unique properties in that they can be liquids that flow freely, or semisolids that flow slowly in the absence of pressure, but act like rubbery solids under stress. “Silicone” doesn’t refer to one specific material but rather a group of materials that contain the elements silicon and oxygen. Silicones are polymers, meaning they are molecules made up of long chains of repeated units.

How Does Sand Work?

Kinetic Sand is regular sand, but instead of being coated in water (like wet sand), it is coated with Silicone Oil. Silicon oil is used in lots of products, most commonly for lubricating. Because the coating is oil and not water, the sand will never dry out, which is one of the best features of Kinetic Sand.

My Thoughts Of the Molding Sand

Playing with the sand is super fun to play with, it does not matter what color you get, it’s all the same in the end. I personally love the color Blue, its my favorite color. If you love the molding sand, you will love the molding slime. I enjoying playing with slime and molding clay, it keeps you super busy and you can stretch the slime so far out.
